The BTS Trail, also known as Behind The Sign, is a 0.6 to 0.9-mile singletrack connector located in the Smuggler Mountain/Hunter Creek area of Aspen, Colorado. Situated within the White River National Forest, the trail links the Smuggler Observation Deck to the Tootsie Roll and Lollipop trails. It is rated as moderate difficulty and is open to hiking, running, and mountain biking. The route is dog friendly, with dogs permitted off-leash. The trailhead is located in Smuggler Mountain Open Space, and parking is available nearby. Elevation ranges from approximately 8,847 to 9,110 feet. The trail surface is dirt and singletrack, featuring a mix of climbs and descents. Evidence of historic mining activity is present along the route, along with picnic tables and viewpoints.
