The Cemetery Trail is a 1.5-mile point-to-point hike in Gunnison, Colorado, situated at an elevation of 7,763 feet. The route is characterized by flat terrain with little elevation variation, making it suitable for beginners. The trail connects to the Contour Trail at two distinct points: one near the western beginning and another near the eastern end. The landscape features sagebrush-covered hills to the north and a small irrigation ditch to the south. Vegetation includes occasional towering cottonwood trees, invasive wildflowers in early summer, and willows along the irrigation canal, which supports various songbirds. Parking is available at the trailhead. While the trail is open year-round, winter conditions may require appropriate gear. The typical duration is approximately 45 minutes to one hour.
