The Chia Pet climbing area is a difficult destination for rock climbers, situated at an elevation of 8442 feet. Climbers can expect a challenging route with varying conditions, and should plan for an estimated 4 hours to complete the climb. The area is accessible year-round, from January through December, although winter conditions may require additional precautions. Parking is available on site, and climbers are allowed to bring their pets along, making it a pet-friendly option for those visiting the Ouray area.
