China Rabbit is a rock climbing destination on Grand Mesa in Western Colorado, located at an elevation of 10,989 feet. The site features moderate difficulty routes suitable for climbers with some experience. The area is open year-round, from January to December. Parking is available at the site, and pets are permitted. The climbing rock consists of hard, volcanic basalt. Grand Mesa is a prominent east-west landform with a Y-shaped outline. The basalt here is highly fractured, though occasional large volcanic flow events created steep walls with good rock quality. Access is primarily from Grand Junction via I-70 to Exit 49, then south on CO Highway 65. Alternatively, climbers can drive south from Grand Junction on US Highway 50 past Whitewater and head east on Kannah Creek Road toward the Land's End Area. The site is part of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests.
