About

The Coal Creek and Engineer Loop is a 17-mile mountain biking route near Silverton, Colorado, located on the Western Slope. The trail is rated difficult and reaches an elevation of 9,309 feet. Riders typically complete the loop in about six hours. The route begins with a climb up Pass Creek Trail to the base of Engineer Mountain. The trail is accessible from April through October, though snow cover can persist until July. Parking is available at the trailhead, and pets are allowed.
