The route climbs from the pass toward a saddle overlooking Maggie Gulch before descending to West Pole Creek Trail. The trail is generally accessible from April through October, though snow conditions dictate exact timing. Parking is available at the trailhead, which sits approximately half a mile down from Stony Pass on the east side. The area sees regular use by four-wheel-drive vehicles, quads, and side-by-sides.
