About
Connected Lakes is a series of ponds and lakes within the Connected Lakes section of James M. Robb Colorado River State Park, located in Grand Junction, Colorado. Situated at an elevation of 4,600 feet, the area offers easy fishing access via four ADA-accessible fishing piers. The water bodies support largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish. Anglers commonly use topwater baits for bass and nightcrawlers for other species. The site is open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the fishing season extending from April through October, though May to September offers temperatures between 60 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Parking is available, and restrooms are located near the piers. Leashed dogs and service animals are permitted. Hand-carry and electric motorized vessels are allowed on the lakes, which feature a boat ramp to the Colorado River. The area includes trails for hiking and mountain biking.
