Crane Lake Trail is a 3.1-mile singletrack loop on Grand Mesa, starting near Flowing Park Reservoir. The route skirts the south side of the lake before ending at the water's edge, with a continuation leading to FS Road 109.1C. The trail climbs through meadows and spruce forests, featuring small rock gardens, short climbs, and rocky stream crossings that remain walkable. Riders gain views west into the Kannah Creek drainage, Bookcliffs, and La Sals Mountains. Elevation ranges from approximately 9,996 to 10,256 feet. Mountain biking is permitted from July through September, though the database lists general access from April to October. Parking is available at the northern end on FS Road 109.1C or the southern Flowing Park area. The trail is designated as moderate difficulty with advanced grade-based slopes of 12-20%. Dogs are allowed, and the surface consists of native dirt material.
