CT - Segment 19 - 21 Detour, also known as the La Garita Wilderness Bypass, is a mountain biking route near Gunnison, Colorado. It allows cyclists to bypass the La Garita Wilderness where bicycles are prohibited. The route connects Spring Creek Pass to Cathedral Ranch via Cebolla Creek Road and County Road 17FF. It spans approximately 57 to 64 miles with about 6,100 feet of climbing and 4,800 feet of descending. The terrain consists primarily of county roads with a mix of gravel and asphalt, along with some unpaved and singletrack sections. The route is rated difficult due to its length and elevation changes, though some segments are described as fairly easy. It typically takes five to seven hours for a section or about 19 hours for the full route. Access is available from April through October, with June to September being optimal. Parking is available, and the route is pet-friendly.
