Depraved Indifference is a sport climbing route located in the Ouray vicinity of Western Colorado, situated at an elevation of 7,759 feet. The route consists of 85 feet (26 meters) of sustained climbing on golden quartzite. It is classified as difficult, characterized by steep angles and several roofs that require continuous effort. The climb utilizes approximately 10 pre-placed bolts for protection, making it accessible to climbers with standard sport gear. The start is positioned just right of a prominent diagonal crack on the face at the far right side of the Mordwand area. First ascended by Marc Ferguson and Roger Schimmel, who also equipped the route with bolts, it remains a popular option for local climbers. Parking is available on site, and the location permits pets. The area offers all aspects of exposure and handles various weather conditions, allowing for year-round access from January to December. The route is part of a broader climbing area in Ouray, located between Montrose and Durango along US Highway 550.
