The Devils Canyon D5 Trail is a 2.2-mile moderate hike located in the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area near Fruita, Colorado. The trail begins near the lower end of the D1 trail and follows a gradual downhill route along a side canyon. Hikers traverse slickrock and sandy soils while viewing the canyon rims. The route is suitable for year-round hiking and typically takes about one hour to complete. Parking is available at the trailhead. The area features standard desert vegetation, including Utah junipers and spring wildflowers. Common wildlife includes coyotes, rabbits, songbirds, ravens, and bighorn sheep. The trail can be connected with other nearby routes to create longer loops.
