About
The Revolution Will Not be Televised is a multi-pitch rock climbing route located on the South Face of Egypt Rock in Grand Junction, Colorado. The route serves as a free variation to the historic 1961 aid line and is rated difficult, generally falling in the 5.8 to 5.10 range across its pitches. The climb begins with a bushwhack up a chimney separating the tower from the rim, leading to a chossy section that transitions into better rock. The route features a long slab pitch with no protection, followed by a steep, committing pitch up a line of least resistance. The summit area consists of five distinct caps with no fixed anchors, requiring climbers to figure out their own descent. Parking is available at the site, and pets are allowed. The typical duration for the climb is approximately 7 hours.
