This traverse section involves smaller climbs and descending elevation toward Goulding Creek. The descent on Goulding Creek is steep and technical, characterized by switchbacks, roots, and rocks. The switchback section lies within a burn zone, where falling scorched timber is a significant hazard. The route is classified as difficult and typically takes about five hours to complete. Elevation reaches approximately 6,534 feet. The trail is accessible from April through October. Parking is available at trailheads, and pets are permitted.
