Express Creek Road, also known as Taylor Pass Road or FSR #122, is a difficult mountain biking route located in Aspen, Colorado. The trail climbs from the upper Castle Creek Valley up to Taylor Pass, offering aspen forests and expansive views. It is a dirt road, often rocky with loose sand and gravel, suitable for passenger cars at the informal parking area located 100 yards from Castle Creek Road before the wooden bridge. The ride is approximately 4.9 to 5.5 miles long and typically takes around two hours to complete. The route is accessible from April through October, depending on snow conditions. Riders should expect significant elevation gain and steep sections that may require hiking the bike. The road is dog friendly and open to motorized vehicles.
