About
FS Rd. 130.1 is a seldom-used forest road located near Aspen, Colorado, serving as an easy mountain biking route. The trail functions as an out-and-back excursion starting from the Van Horn Park area, leading to the Hunter Fryingpan Wilderness boundary. The road forks from FS Road 130 at its south end, where the terrain transitions from dark timber forest into the road segment itself. The ride offers big views down to the Hunter Creek, though these are mostly obscured by large aspen tree groves and conifer forest. A hiking trail continues beyond the end of the road. The route is accessible from April through October, with parking available at the trailhead. It is pet friendly and rated as easy difficulty.
