About
The Holey Bucket Trailhead provides access to a moderate, 1.4-mile singletrack loop in the Tabeguache Lunch Loop Trail System on the Western Slope near Grand Junction. The route climbs from approximately 4,640 to 4,820 feet, taking about 30 minutes to complete. The trail follows the east side of a small valley below Little Park Road, connecting the Holy Cross and Clunker trails. Terrain includes solid dirt tracks, large boulders, and a moderate climb toward the rim before dropping back into the valley. Access is via Little Park Road at mile marker 12. Parking is available, though the access road can be rutted. The trail is pet-friendly and open for hiking from September through November. Restrooms are not available at the trailhead. The setting is desert with minimal shade and some cacti.
