About
Horseshoe Ridge is a moderate, one-way mountain biking trail located in Paonia, Colorado, on the Western Slope. The 0.8-mile route begins off Powerline Road at CC's Corner, near the start of the Ridge of Doom and Plumbers Crack trails. Riders climb briefly to the top of a horseshoe-shaped ridge before descending along the shoulder to the left. The trail connects with Rebel Ridge and Zip n' Out, which branch off to the right near the middle of the route. The trail dead ends a few hundred feet down at a locked gate, marking the property line of private land. The surface is ground-based, and the estimated ride time is approximately eight minutes. Parking is available on site, and the area allows dogs. The trail is accessible from April through October, depending on weather conditions.
