Drinking water is available. The area is known for high mosquito populations, particularly in the spring and summer. The campground is pet-friendly and allows dogs. Access is via Forest Route 116. The typical operating season runs from May through September. Visitors utilize the site for hiking, fishing, and canoeing. Cell service is variable, with reports of Verizon having 1-2 bars in the area.
