About
The Island Acres Section of James M. Robb State Park provides year-round camping along the Colorado River in Debeque Canyon, just east of Palisade at Interstate 70 Exit 47. This established campground features 80 sites, including 40 full hook-up, 34 electric, and 6 tent-only spots. Full hook-up sites accommodate RVs up to 50 feet, while other electric sites are 30 amps. Every site includes a fire ring, picnic table, and stand-up grill. Amenities include restrooms, showers, laundry, and a dump station, with showers and laundry available from early spring through fall. The park is adjacent to Interstate 70 and train tracks. Activities include fishing in three lakes (two stocked), swimming at a sandy beach swim hole, hiking, and biking. The area features mature Rio Grande cottonwoods providing shade and habitat for bald eagles. Leashed dogs and service animals are permitted. Reservations are accepted up to six months in advance or on the day of arrival.
