The Karni Mata Loop is a hiking trail in the RAT (Ridgway Area Trails) system, located just north of Ridgway, Colorado. The trail is a loop measuring approximately 3.6 miles with an elevation ranging from roughly 7,020 to 7,957 feet. It is generally considered moderate in difficulty and takes about two hours to complete on foot. The surface is primarily ground, described as relatively smooth with few tree roots or large rocks, making it suitable for hikers and mountain bikers. The trailhead offers free parking. While accessible year-round, the best conditions for hiking are typically from May through October, or April through October depending on maintenance. The trail is well-marked and gentle enough for all ages, though it features a few steep downhill corners on the north end that may challenge intermediate riders.
