The Las Colonias Trail, also known as the Riverside Trail section of Las Colonias Park, is a paved, multi-use path along the Colorado River in Grand Junction. Located 130 acres adjacent to downtown, the park sits upstream from the confluence of the Gunnison and Colorado Rivers. The trail is generally considered easy and is popular for walking, running, and biking. The route spans approximately 2.3 to 3.7 miles as an out-and-back journey, with an estimated completion time of 40 minutes to 2 hours depending on pace and specific distance metrics cited. The surface is smooth and suitable for casual hikers. Parking is available at the trailhead, and the area is pet-friendly, though dogs must be on a leash. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
