The site sits at an elevation of 10,515 feet on volcanic basalt, a rock type described as highly fractured but offering steep, featured walls with good quality in areas where thick flow events occurred. The route typically takes about 5 hours to complete. Parking is available near the base, and the area is pet-friendly. Access is year-round, though the broader Grand Mesa region sees snow from November through May and heavy mosquitoes in June through August. Climbers can reach the area by driving east on I-70 to Exit 49 and south on CO Highway 65, or by heading east on Kannah Creek Road from US Highway 50.
