Access is year-round, though the broader Grand Mesa region sees snow from November through May and heavy mosquitoes in June through August. Climbers can reach the area by driving east on I-70 to Exit 49 and south on CO Highway 65, or by heading east on Kannah Creek Road from US Highway 50.
