    Lathrop State Park offers hiking trails of moderate difficulty that can be accessed from the visitor center. The trails take hikers through a variety of landscapes, including piñon juniper forests and scenic overlooks with views of the Spanish Peaks and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. With trails available year-round, from January through December, visitors can enjoy the park's scenery in any season, and parking is available at the visitor center. The park is also pet-friendly, allowing visitors to bring their dogs along on their hike.
