About
Little Maud Campground is a moderate difficulty camping site located approximately 14 miles east of Basalt, Colorado, within the White River National Forest. Situated on Ruedi Reservoir at an elevation of 7,800 feet, the campground offers 21 standard sites suitable for tents and RVs up to 35 or 40 feet in length. The site is open from May through September and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Accessible via Fryingpan River Road (County Road 104), the campground is about one mile past the Ruedi Reservoir dam. Facilities include picnic tables, campfire rings, vault toilets, and drinking water. Electrical hook-ups are not available. The area supports activities such as boating, swimming, fishing, and hiking, with the Ruedi Trailhead located near the boat ramp. The site is pet-friendly and allows a fourteen-day stay limit.
