About

Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds is a 5.10+ sport climb on the Kaleidoscope Wall in the Land's End Area of Grand Mesa, near Grand Junction. The route is 60 feet long and features bolts for protection, supplemented by red C3 and nuts. The climb begins by placing a nut or small cam into a left-facing corner. Climbers follow the bolts up this corner to a small ledge, then continue up a steep, reachy, pocketed face to the anchor. This was the first route established on the wall and is considered one of the best on the face. The area offers an easy approach suitable for dogs and children. Parking is available at the site. The rock is volcanic basalt, characterized by good quality and features. The elevation is 10,551 feet.
