Access is provided via the Bear Creek Trail, which begins at the southern end of South Pine Street in Telluride. The trail follows an old roadbed with a low gradient, leading approximately 2.5 miles into the canyon to the falls. The area is part of the Bear Creek Preserve, a 381-acre public open space managed by the San Miguel Conservation Foundation and the Town of Telluride. Parking is available at the site, though on-street parking near the trailhead can be limited. The location is pet friendly and allows hikers, bikers, and horseback riders.
