About

Master's Wall Falls is a rock climbing destination located in Cunningham Gulch, near Silverton, Colorado. The site includes both a sport crag and an ice climb. The sport crag, referred to as Master's Wall, features approximately 15 routes rated 5.9 to 5.12 on hard gneiss with incut edges and rails. The ice climb, Master's Wall Falls, is a thick flow suitable for early season sessions with low snowpack. The area sits at an elevation of 11,400 feet. Access requires a drive from US 550 through Silverton onto CR 2, then right on CR 4 toward Stony Pass. After crossing the Animas River, continue past the Stony Pass turnoff. At the road fork, take the left path and park. A 10-minute trail leads up an erosion gully to the crag. Parking is available on-site. The area is pet-friendly, though only the left side of the crag allows dogs; the main wall requires a fixed line. The climbing is described as moderate to technical.
