About

Mid-Meadow is a hiking trail in Durango, Colorado, starting from parking spots along Falls Creek Road (County Road 205). The route heads north through grassy fields, alternating between narrow two-track paths and singletrack. The terrain is mostly flat with a gentle rise to the north, though sections can be rutted. To the west lies a swampy area with rushes and boggy ground. The trail offers views of Animas Mountain's cliffs to the south, a hogback separating Fall Creek Valley from Animas Valley to the east, and pink and white rocky outcrops of the Logchutes plateau to the west. Late summer sunflowers and mini-lupine are visible along the way. Dogs must be kept on a leash. The trail is accessible year-round and is considered easy.
