Miller Creek Campground is a moderate-difficulty, drive-in camping site in the San Juan National Forest near Durango, Colorado. Located at an elevation of 8,163 feet, the campground sits where Miller Creek flows into Lemon Reservoir. The site offers 12 campsites with options for sun or shade and easy access to the water. Five sites share a large parking area, and RVs up to 45 feet can be leveled without difficulty. A concrete boat ramp is available at the north end, and a shady roadside picnic area provides four tables for day use. The campground is open from May through September and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors must physically arrive to claim and pay for a site, with payment options including cash or the Recreation.gov mobile app. Pets are allowed, but horses and pack animals are not permitted. Typical access involves a short drive on dirt roads from Durango, taking approximately two hours depending on conditions.
