The Missionary Ridge to Stevens Creek Trail is a 15.7-mile point-to-point mountain biking route in the Durango mid-country, connecting Missionary Ridge to Stevens Creek. The ride is classified as difficult and typically takes about five hours. Access is most commonly done via a two-car shuttle starting at the Baldy Mountain Trailhead. Riders pedal up Fire Service Road 249 to reach Missionary Ridge, then traverse to Stevens Creek. The terrain varies significantly along the route. The initial climb up Missionary Ridge is described as moderate in grade. The upper section of Stevens Creek offers a mellow descent with smooth, featureless sections and fun corners. The lower half of the trail becomes more technical, featuring rock sections, roots, small jumps, off-camber turns, and loose rocks. The trail is generally open from April through October. Parking is available at the Baldy Mountain Trailhead. The route is pet-friendly. Riders should be aware that the trail system is open during hunting season.
