The Montrose Rod & Gun Club is a private shooting facility located just east of Montrose, Colorado. Established in 1953 and operating from its current property since 1976, the club features both indoor and outdoor ranges. The outdoor complex sits in open high-desert terrain and includes a rifle range, trap field, skeet facilities, and practical pistol areas. Steel targets are permanently placed at distances ranging from 96 to 555 yards, supporting intermediate and long-range rifle training. The layout accommodates prone and bench shooting with visible target indicators on berms and ridgelines. Tactical bays host monthly precision rifle matches open to the public. The indoor facility is limited to rimfire and low-velocity handgun calibers. Amenities include covered benches, restrooms, handicap accessibility, and ample parking. The facility operates daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. Membership is capped, and guests pay an annual fee of $85. The club hosts public events, including the Montrose Gun Show.
