Montrose Water Sports Park is a whitewater facility and recreational area located in Montrose, Colorado, at an elevation of 5,810 feet. While primarily known for kayaking and river surfing, the site features trails suitable for moderate hiking, particularly during the fall season from September through November. The park includes approximately 2,000 feet of concrete trail and 1,900 feet of soft-surface trail along the Uncompahgre River. A typical hiking outing lasts about two hours. Amenities include parking, restrooms, and picnic facilities. The park is pet-friendly and accessible via ADA ramps. The area was developed with a GOCO grant in 2013 and is part of the larger Riverbottom Park complex.
