Numbskulls is a rock climbing area located near Palisade, Colorado, on the Western Slope. The site features difficult routes suitable for experienced climbers. It sits at an elevation of 5,295 feet. The rock type is Tonalite granite, which provides smooth surfaces that exfoliate with weathering. Climbers engage in sustained slab climbing characterized by smearing and edging on slopers and crimps. The area is open for year-round use, with winter conditions requiring standard precautions. Parking is available on site. The location allows pets. Access to the climbing zones, including Numbskulls and nearby features like Monastery and Cedar Park, has been open since 2023 following the Cameron Peak Fire. Specific routes at Numbskulls are classified as Sport or Top Rope, with some extending up to 60 feet. The area is situated on a south-facing slab at the west end of Subskull.
