The Pass Creek Trail is a hiking route located near Coal Bank Pass, south of Silverton, Colorado. It serves as the primary access point for ascending Engineer Mountain. The trail begins at a parking area off Highway 550 and ascends through mixed spruce-fir forest and open meadows. The route offers significant views of Engineer Mountain, Twin Sisters, and surrounding peaks in the Cascade Valley. The trailhead is situated near old mine tailings. The path follows Pass Creek, passing beaver ponds and a small pond before reaching the Engineer Plateau. The trail is open to hikers and mountain bikers. Winter conditions may require additional gear.
