About
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a 40-foot trad climbing route on the Grand Mesa near Grand Junction. The route has a moderate difficulty rating of 5.9 YDS and is located in the Land's End Area within Dr. C’s Classroom. It sits on the far left side of a rock wall and was first ascended by Garhart and Almuti. The climb is primarily a thin hands splitter that curves gently to the left. Climbers encounter the crux at half height, where the crack bulges and leans left. The route shares an anchor with the adjacent line Edge of Magic. Protection requires gear ranging from 1 inch to 2.5 inches, along with extra thin hands. The site offers parking and is pet friendly. The elevation is 10,325 feet. The Grand Mesa formation consists of basalt cap rock protecting underlying sedimentary layers, created by lava flows approximately 10 million years ago.
