About
Prospector is a downhill mountain biking trail located at Powderhorn Mountain Resort on the Grand Mesa, near Palisade. The trail is accessed by taking the Blue Ribbon lift to the top and following a well-signed branch to the left into the Sven's Bend area. It is characterized by sweeping berms, some on the steeper and tighter side, and offers multiple jump opportunities with ride-arounds for varying skill levels. The trail connects to Paddy Wagon, a rolling connector that leads back to the base area. Parking is available near the trailhead, and pets are allowed. The trail is open from April through October, depending on snow conditions.
