The Rainbow Trail Alt Downhill is a short, designated one-way mountain biking route located just outside Silverton, Colorado. Spanning 0.6 miles at an elevation of 9,612 feet, this trail serves as a flow-oriented alternative to the main Rainbow Trail. It is machine-built and features berms, rollers, small drops, jumps, and a rock garden. The trail is moderate in difficulty and is best ridden downhill, though it includes small climbs and can be looped for repeated laps. Access is easy with parking available at the trailhead, and pets are permitted. The trail is open from April through October. It is suitable for riders seeking a brief, technical session with less complexity than the surrounding high-alpine routes.
