Ring Dike

Ring Dike is a 1.4-mile singletrack mountain biking trail located in the Hartman Rocks trail network just outside Gunnison, Colorado. Classified as difficult, the route sits at an elevation of 8,285 feet and is managed by the BLM Gunnison Field Office. The trail is known for steep, technical sections that include slickrock, loose dirt, and rock maneuvers comparable to Moab riding. It features both uphill and downhill segments and can be ridden in either direction, though it lacks the continuous flow of nearby trails like Rattlesnake. Route finding requires attention to cairns or a GPS app, particularly on slickrock sections. The trailhead is accessible via Road 3525g near the end of Josho's or the start of Rattlesnake, with the route eventually connecting back to Road 3530a. Parking is available near the trailhead, and the trail is open from April through October. Pets are allowed, and the surface is dirt.
