The trail features a moderate climb of approximately 2098 feet, rising from an elevation of 5,681 feet. It is classified as difficult due to steep sections and rugged terrain. The route begins at the lower end off Plumbers Crack, climbs for just over a quarter mile, crosses the Wapity Whip trail, and continues to the ridge. Hikers can also access the trail via a singletrack option leading left off a mid-sized boulder while descending Jumbo Ridge. The trail is accessible year-round with parking available at the trailhead. Dogs are permitted off-leash. The hike typically takes about one hour to complete.
