Sage Burner 13K is a moderate, 8.3-mile loop located in the Hartman Rocks Recreation Area just west of Gunnison, Colorado. The trail sits at an elevation of 8,282 feet and is typically ridden between April and October. The route is characterized by a mix of technical slickrock, smooth flowing singletrack, and doubletrack roads, offering varied terrain that includes rolling hills and punchy climbs. Riders start at the main parking lot, taking Jack's Trail up to Tailpipe, which connects with The Ridge. From there, the path follows a dirt road to Alonzo's, then to The Luge, ties into Rocky Ridge to Beck's, and descends via The Notch and Tugs back to the start. The area features sagebrush-covered hills and a high desert climate. Parking is available at the trailhead, and the trail is pet-friendly.
