About
Mosca Campground at San Luis Lakes State Wildlife Area is a lakeside camping site located in Mosca, Colorado, approximately 15 miles west of Great Sand Dunes National Park. The facility features 51 campsites on gravel roads, accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs up to 120 feet in length. Each site includes electrical hookups, a sheltered table, a fire ring, and a grate. The campground offers panoramic views of San Luis Lake and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Amenities include vault toilets, a dump station, and cell service for most carriers. There is no potable water on-site, so visitors must bring their own drinking water. Firewood is available for purchase. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis and is open seasonally, typically from April or May through September or October. A valid Colorado hunting or fishing license or a State Wildlife Area pass is required for all visitors aged 16 and older. The area is suitable for wildlife viewing, fishing, and boating when lake levels permit.
