Scamper, also known as Predator, is a 5.9 YDS sport climbing route located in Durango, Colorado, on the Western Slope. The climb is situated at an elevation of 7,134 feet within the RV Wall area. It features a slab design with boulder-like moves and is protected by bolts, making it suitable for lead climbing. The route occupies a small alcove and is positioned as the third wall to the climber's left. First ascended by A. Temple, Scamper offers a moderate challenge that balances technical slab climbing with brief, cruxy bouldery sections. Parking is available at the base of the wall, and pets are permitted on site. The route is accessible year-round, allowing for climbing in various conditions from winter snow to summer warmth. While the specific duration is not strictly defined, typical visits require approximately four hours. Durango serves as a central hub for local climbing, with Scamper providing an accessible option near the town center alongside other crags like Golf Wall and Cascade Canyon.
