Sea of Sage is a 1.3-mile mountain biking trail in Gunnison, Colorado, located at an elevation of approximately 7,705 feet. The trail is classified as easy and green, featuring a dirt surface with a gentle 223-foot elevation gain. It functions as a cross-country route often used for point-to-point travel, connecting to nearby trails like Broken Shovel. Riders can traverse the trail in either direction, with an east-to-west route offering a gentle downhill profile. The trail is open to bikes, dogs, horses, and hiking from April through October. Parking is available at the trailhead, and the area is managed by the BLM Gunnison Field Office. The route is suitable for beginners and experienced riders alike, providing a smooth, flowing ride with minimal technical obstacles.
