Secret Spot is an 820-foot singletrack hiking trail located within Ridgway State Park, approximately six miles north of the town of Ridgway on Colorado's Western Slope. The trail sits at an elevation of 7,354 feet and is classified as easy in difficulty. It connects the west parking lot near Dutch Charlie Marina to the shoreline of Mears Bay, offering access to a secluded picnic area and fishing spots. The route is family-friendly and can be hiked in either direction. Parking is available at the trailhead, which serves as a junction with the Pinyon Park and Twin Fawn trails. The trail system within the park features over 14 miles of marked paths, including wide concrete and gravel surfaces that traverse open grasslands, pinyon-juniper forests, and river edges. The trail provides mountain views and connects to the broader Ridgway Area Trails network.
