About
Secrets Of Nature is a 65-foot trad climbing route located in Cracked Canyon, near Ophir and Telluride, Colorado. The route is graded 5.13a and features a mix of bolted and gear protection. Climbers start standing in a bush, pulling off the ground onto large edges. The crux involves compression moves leading to small crimps and a layback move, protected by three bolts over the first 25 to 30 feet. The second half of the climb is more technical and committing, relying on very small cams and nuts for protection. The route ends with a left-angling seam leading to large ledges and an anchor. First ascended by Charlie Fowler and Doug Berry, the route is situated immediately right of the Javelin route. Parking is available, and pets are permitted. The area is accessible year-round.
