The Sheridan Crosscut Trail is a 1.9-mile singletrack hike in Telluride, Colorado, connecting the town to Imogene Pass Road. Located in the Uncompahgre National Forest, the trail rises 2,129 feet from an elevation of approximately 9,776 feet to a high point near 11,905 feet. It is rated difficult or extra difficult due to the steep grade and rocky surface. The trailhead parking is available at the end of North Oak Street, near the start of Tomboy Road. Hikers can access the trail year-round, though snow and ice are common in winter. The route is primarily used for hiking and allows dogs. While often part of the larger Liberty Bell Loop, the Sheridan Crosscut segment itself offers steady climbing through aspen forest before reaching open high ground with views toward Telluride and Bridal Veil Falls. Trail visibility can be challenging in sections, with cairns marking the path near boulders and junctions.
