The Signal Peak Easy Loop is a 5.4-mile mountain biking trail in Gunnison, Colorado, located adjacent to Western Colorado University. Rated moderate, the route typically takes about one hour to complete. The trail features smooth singletrack and rolling terrain with southern exposure, which allows it to dry out quickly in spring. It is accessible from April through October, though motorized vehicles are restricted during winter months and bike use may be limited before 10 am in early spring. Riders start near the Western football field, ascend via the Ridgeline Trail past the Gunnison 'G' landmark, and traverse Contour Trail across sage-covered hills. A fork leads to the fast Contour Connector descent, which connects to the wide, flat Cemetery Trail returning riders to the parking lot. Free parking is available at the campus, but public restrooms are not provided. The trail is pet friendly and suitable for riders with some experience, offering a short workout with options to shorten the ride by turning around at various junctions.
