It serves as a training ride for riders gaining vertical while accessing singletrack rewards on the descent. The route is accessible from April through October, with conditions dependent on snow levels. Riders begin by ascending a doubletrack dirt road from Gothic, passing through an Aspen grove and open meadows. Parking is available at the trailhead, and dogs are welcome off-leash. The terrain offers a mix of climbing and descending on a dirt or gravel surface, suitable for e-bikes. The trail connects to Crested Butte Mountain Resort and crosses a creek near the singletrack junction.
