The trail sits at an elevation of approximately 7,171 feet and features a net elevation gain of about 137 feet. It is a loop that connects to the Meadow Loop trail and provides access to Mike’s Trail and Cuchillo Trail. The surface is dirt, and the route winds through scrub oak and meadow. Parking is available at the Horse Gulch Trailhead, accessible from East 3rd Street behind the Mercy Medicine parking lot. The trail is open year-round for hiking and allows leashed dogs. Summer conditions can be hot, and the trail network accommodates both hiking and mountain biking.
