Sunlight Mountain Resort is an independent ski area located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The base elevation is 8,170 feet with a vertical drop of 2,010 feet. The resort covers approximately 749 acres and features 77 runs, with terrain classified as 20 percent beginner, 55 percent intermediate, and 25 percent advanced. The mountain receives an average annual snowfall of 250 inches and operates from November through April. Access is provided by three chairlifts, including two new lifts. The resort is situated 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Glenwood Springs, with free parking available at the base. Shuttle service connects the resort to town. Amenities include a ski and bike shop, rental equipment, budget-friendly dining, and restrooms. The resort also offers cross-country skiing trails through Babbish Gulch.
